PURPOSE OF THE TRAINING

  • Acquire the skills required in the building caretaker profession

The building caretaker will be able to carry out the various activities relating to the following main functions:

  • Cleaning and upkeep of the communal areas
  • Technical supervision and minor maintenance
  • Emergency response (fire safety, defibrillator, first aid, etc.)
  • Managing the entry and exit of free areas
  • Administrative management (keeping various information tools, rental management, etc.)
  • Managing communication in the building (conflict management, social networking, customer relations, etc.)
  • Management of innovative community services (e.g. personal services)

OBJECTIVE OF THE TRAINING COURSE

The building caretaker is responsible for managing the requests of the residents of the condominium in his or her charge. Their main task is to help ensure the quality of life of residents in their residence. They ensure compliance with the co-ownership rules.

He or she is responsible for a number of tasks, including the upkeep of communal areas, technical maintenance, distributing mail to letterboxes, receiving parcels in the event of the recipient's absence, welcoming visitors, applying safety rules, taking out the bins and general supervision...

Finally, you need to be available to residents while remaining discreet.

As a key link in neighbourhood management, they also play a social support role, identifying problems and directing people in difficulty to the appropriate services. They can also intervene in neighbourhood disputes.

They will be taught about rental management (being able to carry out and explain day-to-day rental management (lease, inventory of fixtures, rent receipts, etc.)) and the technical supervision of buildings.

He will also have a general education in French and a vocational education: economics, management, applied biology, technology, communication, hygiene, social and professional life, safety and medico-social sciences.
